Rutgers Journalism students who are interested in taking the 9/11 Project course, click below for details. After you read the requirements, please send an essay to Prof. Miskoff about the following:Write about the day of September 11, 2001, using as much sensory description and remembered dialogue as possible. Where were you when you heard the news? Who else was there? Describe what you saw, heard, touched, tasted and smelled. Try to remember that actual day, before all of the facts were available. Then, reflect on the impact of the tragedy now that more is known. Did everything change that day? Or did some aspect of life change? Be as literary as you can without going overboard. Put the reader there, in your life, that day and afterward. Allow the reader to get to know you better through this essay. Length is your choice. — From Kathryn Rhett's "Crucial Events" in Now Write! Nonfiction.
